Our implementation of Matomo for both OAC and Calisphere includes subsetting by contributor name, by leveraging Matomo’s “custom dimensions” feature. Additionally, Calisphere includes subsetting by digital collection, so that item record pageviews are aggregated within a digital collection.

Usage analytics dashboards are available on our Contributor Help Center site:

Filter Usage Analytics Reports

Except for the “Sitewide Activity” report, all reports are arranged by contributor names. On a given report, you may use the filter feature to surface usage data for your specific institution. An institution “lookup” chart is available below.

The details on this page narrate steps and examples through the Collections dashboard page; however, these steps can be used to filter on any dashboard page presented in a table format.

Filter Reports by Contributor Name

Reports that are represented in table formats will each have a “filter” option. A suite of icon options is located at the bottom-left corner of the report; choose the “magnifying glass” icon to reveal a filter by keyword bar. You may also click the “Institution” column heading to sort the table alphabetically.

Matomo “Institution” Lookup Chart

OAC “institution:” The OAC “institution” name comes directly from our OAC contributor database. If a contributor updates their institution name, the institution name as displayed in the Matomo reporting dashboard will also change.

Calisphere “institution:” The Calisphere “institution” name comes directly from our Calisphere collections registry, through a shorthand “slug” that is customizable but initially auto-generated by our database. Please contact us if you would like to change your “slug.”

Note: If an institution's “name” or “slug” is updated, the new name will take effect for usage activity moving forward; usage activity before the name change will continue to have the legacy name.

Please contact us if you would like to update your institution name, Calisphere institution "slug" or Calisphere collection "slug."
