Nuxeo upgrade notification: Version LTS 2021 upgrade completed
The CDL-hosted Nuxeo (nuxeo.cdlib.org) upgrade to version LTS 2021 is completed. Please feel free to resume working in the Nuxeo Shared DAMS, and contact us if you encounter any problems.
As part of this upgrade, we have removed the Shibboleth authentication and login process to login to Nuxeo (which utilizes your UC campus single sign-on account), and switched to Nuxeo’s built-in user account management system.
When logging into Nuxeo, you will be prompted to enter your Nuxeo username; please note that your username is case-sensitive. We are able to provide a list of all the Nuxeo user names -- contact us for a link to this document. Please work with your campus Nuxeo Administrator to set up a new password, if you have not already done so. Contact us if you have any questions about resetting your password.

Nuxeo upgrade notification: Version LTS 2021 upgrade scheduled August 9-11
We are happy to report that we have resolved the two technical issues that surfaced during the June effort to upgrade Nuxeo. We are now ready to upgrade to Nuxeo version LTS (“Long Term Support”) 2021 in August, which will require scheduled downtime beginning on Monday 8/8 at 5:00pm through Thursday 8/11, 2022. Below is the complete upgrade schedule:
August 8 (Mon) at 5:00pm--database backups: We will put Nuxeo in a “lock out” mode at 5:00pm on August 8, and start backups of the postgres, redis, and elastic search datastores.
August 9-11 (Tues-Thurs)--upgrade: Nuxeo will be unavailable during this period in order for the upgrade to take place.
August 12 (Fri)--service restoration: We anticipate that service will be restored by or before Friday morning, on August 12. We'll be in touch as soon as the upgrade is completed, and when Nuxeo is back online and open for business.
As a reminder, we will remove the current Shibboleth authentication and login process to login to Nuxeo (which utilizes your UC campus single sign-on account), and switch to Nuxeo’s built-in user account management system.
Nuxeo Administrators: Before August 8th, please follow these instructions to set a new password, if you have not already done so. Please keep this password secure. Note that your Nuxeo user name is case-sensitive. We are able to provide a list of all the Nuxeo user names -- please contact us for a link to this document. Nuxeo upgrade notification: Version LTS 2021 upgrade to be rescheduled
Dear Nuxeo Shared DAMS users,
We’re sorry for the inconvenience, but we will again need to defer the upgrade that was scheduled for this week, on June 22-24. Please feel free to continue working in the current Nuxeo version (nuxeo.cdlib.org).
We are investigating two technical issues with upgrading Nuxeo to version LTS 2021; these pertain to the main navigation “Home” link and the 3D file support plug-in. The Nuxeo development team is actively assisting us in finding solutions.
We will be in touch to reschedule the upgrade, once these technical issues are fully resolved.
In the meantime, please feel free to follow these instructions to set a new password with your Nuxeo campus admins, if you haven’t done so already. Please keep this password secure. Note that these new passwords will carry over, when we conduct the upgrade (and remove Shibboleth authentication) during a later timeframe.

Nuxeo/Shared DAMS new password setup instructions
Dear Nuxeo/Shared DAMS users,
Beginning on June 6, the Nuxeo/Shared DAMS will be utilizing Nuxeo’s built-in user account management system. All Nuxeo users will need to set up a new password to access the Nuxeo/Shared DAMS; however, setting up a new password requires being logged into the system. In order to set up a new password, either a Nuxeo Administrator or CDL staff will need to set temporary passwords on behalf of Nuxeo users.
We’d like to propose the following steps, to be conducted after the Nuxeo upgrade is complete:

CDL staff are available to support setting up temporary passwords. We will host a drop-in office hours session on Tuesday, June 7, between 1:00-3:00pm to support and troubleshoot any issues with user/password account reset, and transition to a post-Shibboleth authentication process. Please feel free to show up anytime between the 1:00-3:00pm timeframe on Zoom. Contact us for the Zoom link.

If your campus library is not using Nuxeo as your primary DAMS, please feel free to contact us if you would like us to remove legacy user accounts in Nuxeo.

We are planning to conduct an upgrade of CDL-hosted Nuxeo (nuxeo.cdlib.org) to version LTS (“Long Term Support”) 2021, and would like to schedule downtime from Wednesday 6/1 through Friday 6/3, 2022. Nuxeo will be unavailable during this timeframe, and will be in “lock out” mode beginning on Tuesday May 31, at 5:00pm.
As part of this upgrade, we will remove the current Shibboleth authentication and login process to login to Nuxeo (which utilizes your UC campus single sign-on account), and switch to Nuxeo’s built-in user account management system.
We are currently in the process of updating the Nuxeo/Shared DAMS documentation in our Help Center. We will be in touch with more details about the upgrade, including steps to transition to Nuxeo’s user account management system.
Here is a detailed timeline of what to anticipate in the coming days.

Once the upgrade is complete, all Nuxeo users will need to set up a new password.
Forthcoming steps:
All Nuxeo users will need to set up a new password to access the Nuxeo/Shared DAMS. We will provide detailed instructions for campus users to update their passwords–this will involve either Nuxeo Administrators or CDL staff to set temporary passwords on behalf of Nuxeo users. We will be in touch with more information on this, including your (case-sensitive) user account name.
