The OAC finding aid display does not currently reflect headings and labels that are encoded within the EAD <head> and LABEL attributes. Instead, the OAC display is reflecting a generalized set of headings and labels that are based on the EAD tag names.
For example, <bioghist> displays as “Biographical/historical” on OAC, instead of a more customized label such as “Historical context note” if encoded in the EAD <head> tag.
The display should ideally reflect the more custom headings and labels as supplied in the EAD encoding.
