2025 August 12: OAC's site performance has been stabilized; we are continuing to closely monitor the site. Please see our status page for more information.
OAC website: updates/edits to published finding aids are not immediately displaying in the OAC site
Updates/edits to published finding aids are not immediately displaying in the OAC site.
Our AWS Cloudfront implementation is currently set to cache all OAC pages, including finding aid views, in order to quickly display site pages and improve the site performance. However, if updates/edits are made to a finding aid, users may see older cached versions of the finding aid until the AWS Cloudfront cache clears.
We are making an adjustment to our indexing process, to force clear the AWS Cloudfront cache when any updates/edits are made to finding aids.

We have made updates to our indexing process, to force clear the AWS Cloudfront cache when any updates/edits are made to finding aids. We are continuing to monitor this issue; please contact us if you are still observing delays (e.g., over 24 hours) with updates/edits not appearing in the OAC website.
Please note that some web browsers may still display older cached versions of pages for a period of time. To verify that the latest updates/edits are displaying in the OAC site, you can refresh your browser cache and force a page to load fresh from the server by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F5 (Windows/Linux) or Command + Shift + R (Mac) for a hard refresh. Or alternatively, access your browser's settings to clear cached files.
